Reviews
Lovely place to have afternoon tea and would recommend. Don't feel the food was as well balanced as past years but still exceptionally good. We had the Japanese afternoon tea. The scones and jam were delightful and teas were lovely. Enjoyed the cherry blossom tea. The cakes were wonderfully sculptured sweet delights. Sandwiches were tasty but hard to detect all flavours. My wife has quite good taste buds. We were surprised how unbalanced the salmon cracker tasted. Apparently two of cakes are for sharing. Unfortunately this was not mentioned until we asked for the remaining cakes to take away. Otherwise service was impeccable.
We are in the taxi, driving away, as I am writing this — it was a beautiful experience! Angelo took such good care of us, the food was amazing and beautiful, the service was amazing, incredible attention to detail and polite kind service. We came here after we picked up my wedding dress to have a little girls’ afternoon and celebration. It was absolutely beautiful! Thank you!
My family and I went to the Mirror room for afternoon tea (for a bachelorette) and it was truly fantastic. Angelo took care of us this afternoon and he has the greatest attention to detail and he is so kind. He took the time to explain the history behind the art, every little detail and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Regarding the culinary experience, I would say that the uniqueness of this tea time is really worth the stop. The Japanese inspired food mixed well with the traditional tea time, giving it a greatly appreciated twist. Overall, I would truly say it’s one of the best afternoon teas I’ve done in London.
We were really looking forward to this Japanese themed afternoon tea, however it was style over substance. The presentation and location was beautiful, however we found the tastes, in particular with the desserts lacking. Tofu tart and egg sandwiches were quality and enjoyable. Scones were fresh and light but remaining savouries and desserts were not very adventurous or flavoursome for the price (over £130 each for the vegetarian tea with a glass of champagne).
What an unforgettable experience! The three-course afternoon tea at the Rosewood Hotel is nothing short of spectacular—elegant, delicious, and thoughtfully curated from start to finish. Each course was a delightful journey of flavour, featuring mouthwatering bites that were both indulgent and refined. Every detail, from the delicate savouries to the irresistible sweets, showcased a perfect balance of taste and texture. What made this experience truly extraordinary was the artistic inspiration behind it. Drawing from the iconic works of renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, the presentation was as visually captivating as it was delicious. The highlight? A collection of exquisite Art Cakes—each one a miniature masterpiece echoing Hokusai’s striking landscapes and timeless style. The fusion of culinary craftsmanship with visual artistry made for a deeply immersive experience, where food and fine art met in perfect harmony. Whether you’re an art lover, a foodie, or simply in search of an extraordinary afternoon tea, the Rosewood’s offering is not to be missed.
